Pieter van Gents First Customer

Cellar Door hosts thousands of visitors each year and we like to talk to each and every visitor. We were more than happy to learn that our "very first " Customer  Mr. Ray Browning still remembered his visit and what he purchased.

Ray's wife Joy advises that "Ray was pleasantly suprised when you called and can still vividley remember the day we first met Peter van Gent at his Winery (uncompleted shed around 1977 we think) and purchased Vermouth and some other wines that I think were created for the local clergy."

Joy further comments "Just goes to show that grape juice does not weaken the mind . Over the years we have had our share as well as introducing many friends and family to the wonders of  your fine wines."

We are pleased to share with all our Customers, our very first Customer and thank Ray and Joy Browning for this honour.
